I have to take yesterday off. I just couldn't. It was one of those days.... Today, however, was a horse of a different color. Today was productive and left me with a good sense o accomplishment. I needed that.
I had a few things that I needed to mud and patch, which is never a super fun. It was partially my fault because I was unclear with the drywall guys. I have these cabinets in the bathroom, and didn't need them finished because I am doing an inset in them, however the top 'cubbies' are going to be open, and a nice place for a object d'arte, or maybe a small plant, since they are right next to the skylight. They hadn't finished them, and so that's what started my day.
I got to do some painting- the ceilings mostly. That was a gas. Then I dug into the sills that I built last week. A little prime and a couple coats of semigloss in advance of installing them, and then just a little touch up when they are in. The sills are going to be so deep and lovely. I love a window that you can really lean into, and with these 9" sills, these will be! Plus, all the light...and definitely some plants on those 9" sills.
All in all, a good day. And I'm done in time to go dancing to boot!
